The Yorkshire Post, commenting on the wool trade, says. “Germany’s embargo, Italy’s threatened discrimination, the Belgian labour troubles, and the fact that France’s production is feeling the loss of export trade, have produced a combination of unsettling circumstances rarely experienced simultaneously. “It is not to be wondered that with 25 per cent, of the world demand for wool involved in a standstill threat, most people are asking where values are likely 'to stand. The future is most uncertain.”
