NATIONAL AND CLUB SALES
NEARLY 400 UNDER THE HAMMER. Nearly 400 head of Jerseys, representing the pick of . Taranaki s studs, will be submitted during the week, starting at Opunake with the Moorpark dispersal sale on Saturday. The second National Jersey female show and sale, which was inaugurated last year, will be held at the Waiwakaiho showgrounds on Monday, approximately 65 head being scheduled, including representatives of the choicest prizewinning and but-ter-fat strains, as only the best are accepted for that sale. Then will follow the New Plymouth Jersey Cattle Club’s annual female sale, which has been a feature of Jersey week for so many years. Each day until Friday there will be either dispersal or ’ consignment sales on behalf of noted breeders. A complete itinerary of the sales is as follows: —
Saturday, May 26:—Dispersal, Mr. J. F. Shepherd (Opunake), Moorpark Stud. Monday, May 28:—National female show and sale, New Plymouth showgrounds. Tuesday, May 29:—New Plymouth Jersey Cattle Club’s annual female sale, at New Plymouth showgrounds. Wednesday, May 30:—Silverley's Stud, dispersal sale on behalf of the Estate of the late J. S. Jones in conjunction with the annual consignment sale on behalf of Mr. F. W. Cornwall, Oaklands Stud, at Silverley’s Homestead, Bell Block.
Thursday, May 31:—Annual consignment sale on behalf of Messrs P. JPeterson, Ivondale Stud, A. L. Hooper, Bridge View Stud, and A. E. Western, Brookside Stud, at Mr. Peterson’s Ivondale Stud Farm, Waitara.
Friday, June I:—Annual consignment sale on behalf of Messrs John Hale, Holly Oak Stud, and Len Hale, Wonder View Stud, at Mr. John Hale’s farm, Avenue Road, New Plymouth.
