TARANAKI WINTER SHOW. FARM PRODUCE SECTION. Classes for all kinds of produce of the farm are prominent in the prize list issued by the Taranaki Agricultural Society for its winter show, which will open on June 6. Liberal cash prizes are offered for sides and rolls of bacon, ham, fruit of all kinds, garden vegetables, field roots, hay and ensilage. The womenfolk are catered for in classes for cookery, home-made butter, jams, sauces, pickles, preserves, honey, needlework, vzool work, arts and crafts, painting and sketching, photography, while the boys and girls have over one hundred classes devoted to themselves, for which no entry fee is charged. Entries for all sections enumerated above will close on Friday at 9 p.m. Send to-day for a prize list to the secretary (Mr. W. P. Okey), Box 18, New Plymouth.
