FAILURE OF MURDER PLOT DR. E. DOLFUSS ENDANGERED DISCOVERY OF BOMB MADE RAILWAY TRACK DESTROYED By Telegraph—Press Assn.—Copyright. Salzburg, May 10. Poilce watchfulness foiled a determined plot to murder Dr. E. Dolfuss, Austrian I Chancellor. Just before his arrival at an official celebration at an aerodrome a search of the grounds resulted in the discovery of a bomb under bushes 20 yards from the reception hall. The bomb contained 141 b. of dynamite and d clockwork fuse. The detection averted an extensive loss of life. < Foes of the regime also tore up the railway track over which travelled special trains conveying Government supporters, who narrowly escaped disaster. Dr. Dolfuss was severely wounded by a would-be assassin, Rudolf Dertil, on October 3, 1933. Dertil was proved to be a Nazi, and the outrage was the signal for an intensification of the Nazi campaign in Austria.
