CHESS AND DRAUGHTS
■ FITZROY-BELL BLOCK CLUB’. • The Fitzroy-Bell Block Chess and Draughts Club began play in the competitions at its weekly meeting on Wednesday night. There was a good attendance and friendly games were played by new members, learners and visitors. Competitive games were recorded as follows:— Chess championship: F. J. Dodunski 1 v. M. Grey 1, F. G. Baker 2 v. G. F. Goldsworthy 0, A. V. Cooper 1 v. W. J. Bethell 0. Chess ladder: M. Gray 1 v. F. J. Dodunski 0, F. G. Baker 2 v. G. F. Goldsworthy 0, H.. D. Macdonald 1 v. F. Dodunski 0.
