Ballant.yne and G. H. Bell. The chairman reported there was an entry of between 4\> and 45 bead for the club’s sale, about the same number as for the national sale. Mr. Griffiths raised the question of making provision for entrants under the 305-days test in the fifth Oaks. On the motion of Mr. Bell, seconded by Mr. Griffiths, it was decided that the fifth Oaks should be completed under the existing conditions, but that the 305-days’ test should be given consideration when regulations for the next Oaks are being drawn up. Matters connected with the forthcoming Jersey week at New Plymouth were discussed. The ladies will be asked to take charge of the catering. It was decided to hold a smoke concert and dance at the Bell Block hall on the night of the national sale. The secretary (Mr. W. • P. Okey) and Mr. Griffiths were authorised to organise the gathering. Mr. Luxton was appointed to organise the sale of tickets.
