All classes of fat sheep were in good supply at the Ffankton saleyards to-day. Unfortunately •' the market was slightly over-supplied with fat wethers, and although rit the start of the sale prices showed a slight improvement this was not maintained. A medium yarding of ox beef was penned, with all classes remaining firm at last week's quotations. A larger yarding of cow and heifer beef, including a good number of better-quality cattle, came forward. Prices remained firm at late Tates, while second quality and boned cows also showed a slight increase. A smaller yardtag of vealers sold at late quotations. Four prime Polled Angus bullocks on account of the Paerangi Estate were sold by G. W. Vercoe and Company, Ltd., at £9 2s each, the purchasers being local butchers.
