CRIBBAGE EVENING SUCCESSFUL The usual fortnightly cribbage evening was successful. Visitors were present from Maxwell. Prizes for the highest scores were won by Mr and Mrs H. W. Hurley. Runner-up prizes were won by Miss D. Bartz and Mr E. Hurley.' After supper the prizes were presented to the winners by the president, Mr J. Hurley. In a challenge match for the crib button Mrs L. Butterworth won from Mr R. Lethbridge 7—2. An Anzac service was held in the Church of England and was conducted by the Rev. Gardiner. Despite bad weather there was a good attendance. The Waitotara senior football team played Rangitatau on the local ground. The home team had an easy win, the score being 21 —0. The referee was Mr A. Verry. The Ngamatapouri football team lost to the Kai Iwi team by 3—o. The game was played at Kai Iwi.
