A high official informed the Sun that Prince George was likely to cancel his tour of Australia and New Zealand. The Dominions Office regretted it was unable to make a statement whether the tour was likely to be cancelled. It added that it was entirely a matter for the Palace. He could say nothing about the reported cancellation of the tour. He added that it would be indiscreet “You will have a statement on Monday,” he said. A Sydney cable says there is no confirmation here or at Melbourne regarding reports that Prince George will not fulfil his tour. The Prime Minister, Mr. J. S. Lyons, however, is hurrying to Sydney from Canberra this evening.
