NEW PASTORAL AWARD

AUSTRALIAN SHEA ZJRS’ WAGES. By Telegraph—Press Assn.—Copyright. Rec. 10 p.m. Canberra, April 27. The Full Arbitration Court to-day announced a new award for the pastoral industry. Shearers are to receive 30s per 100 in eastern States and 29s in Western Australia. Station hands are to receive £3 a week throughout the Commonwealth, which is a rise of 6s. Shed hands will receive £5 a week without keep, or 74s with keep. In eastern States fast wool pressers will receive Is 9d and slow pressers 2s a bale. Cooks will be paid at the rate of 7s per man.
