REPLY OF BELGIAN GOVERNMENT. By Telegraph—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night The Prime Minister, Rt. Hon. G. W. Forbes, has received the following letter from the British Ambassador at Brussels (Sir George Russell Clerk): “I have the honour to inform you that the Belgian Government has requested me to convey to you an expression of the deep gratitude felt by the Royal Family and the whole Belgian people for the message of sympathy which at your request I transmitted to them on behalf of his Majesty’s Government in New Zealand. The Belgian Government states that the universal character of the homage paid to the late King Albert has been a* source of comfort to the Royal Family and of renewed courage for the whole Belgian people.”
