SUIT AGAINST PEER
ACTRESS ISSUES WRIT. ALLEGED BREACH OF PROMISE. London, April 12. Miss Angela Joyce, an actress, has issued a writ claiming damages from Lord Reveistoke for alleged breach of promise of marriage. Lord Revelstoke, who is 23 years of age, succeeded to the title in January, last, his father leaving him £400,000. He was married early last month to Flora, daughter of Sir Thornas Fer-mor-Hesketh. The couple have just returned from their honeymoon, which was spent in Italy and Sicily. The parents of Miss Joyce, who was bOrn in Bombay, live at Wimbledon. She played in the Everyman Theatre at Hampstead and became “Miss England” in 1930. She went to Hollywood as a “beauty queen,” and returned to England, giving broadcast performances and appearing in films. Miss Joyce again went to Hollywood. She is coming to London to give evidence in the case..
