Perry’s chief opponents in the top half of the British hard court tennis championship at Bournemouth are Turnbull, Miki and Marlin; while Crawford, in the lower half, faces the Japanese champion Nishimura, Quist, Hopman, Lee, Print and Boussus. The increased restricted entry of 48 included the New Zealanders Stedman and Malfroy. The Evening News says that Mrs. Whittingstall and Miss Ridley have firmly decided to wear shorts at Wimbledon and the authorities will not dare to say nay.
