PARITUTU TOURNAMENT
WIN FOR F. SPURDLE’S TEAM. • BOWLING IN STRONG WIND. A strong wind and a heavy green made the element of luck prominent in the one-day tournament of the Paritutu Bowling Club held yesterday when F. Spurdie (Inglewood) was the winner with six wins, no losses,and 60 points, as against 6 wins no losses and 54 points by G. Ambury, runner-up. Six rounds were played. At the conclusion of play Mr. S. G. Smith, M.P., presented the winning team with silver’ cups each and the runner-up team with silver serviette rings. The tournament marked the end of the season in Taranaki.
