NEW OFFICERS ELECTED A meeting was held recently at the Tokirima hall to elect officers for the year. Those appointed were: President, Mr. J. Penny; vice-presidents, Messrs D. F. McLeod, O. Old, F. Newman, H. Johnston, A. F. McKenzie, A. Sandilands, J. H. Roache, A. Thompson; secretary, Mr B. Blanchard; social committee, Mesdames A. Sandilands, H. Turner, Miss F. Penny, Messrs. A. ■ Bennock, H. Turner, A. Sandilands, J. Penny, E. V. Ellis, R. Howard and F. Newman. It is possible that the committee will consider the matter of erecting a new supper room in the near future. Personal. Mr and Mrs A. Christensen have returned from a trip to Melbourne and Sydney. . . Mrs McSkimming is the guest of her daughter, Mrs T. H. Grant. Mrs C. Little and Mrs M. Addenbrooke are spending a few weeks at New Plymouth. Mrs J. Penny and Miss T. Penny have returned from a holiday at New Plymouth. Mr Ray and Noel Coogan have been Mrs H. Huckle’s guests during the weekend. Mrs and Mr T. H. Grant have returned from Wanganui and Turakipa. Mrs Hogdson is the guest of her sister, Mrs E. French. Mrs Griffin has returned after spending a holiday in the Rotorua district.
