' ■ ■ i- ... . . -j By Telegraph—Press Assn.—Copyright London, Aprli 17. “If apples are sent asleep during th* winter they cannot get into mischief, but remain pure and fresh,” say experts’ at the Royal Agricultural Show at West-' minster, where they feature apples which last September were put into a chamber filled with carbon monoxide. When it was recently opened It was found that the flavour and condition of the apples were perfect. The method is a vast improvement on cold storage.
