PUKENGAHU GENERAL NEWS
FOOTBALLERS ENTHUSIASTIC. SHARP FROSTS EXPERIENCED. The football season has opened at Pulcengahu and enthusiasm is being shown by players and supporters. It seems likely that the district will be represented ' this year by a strong team. A friendly game was played- against Cardiff at ■ 1 i Pukengahu on Thursday, when Pukengahu won by 10 points to 6. A sharp frost, following others of a milder nature, was experienced in the district on Friday morning. The school children were given holidays on Monday and Tuesday on the occasion of the teacher, Miss Richards, attending a refresher course. ’
