Mrs. C. O. Edmonds has returned from Christchurch, where she spent the Easter holidays.
Mrs. W. Thompson ’and Miss Molly Thompson, Wellington, are the guests of Mrs. C. O. Edmonds.
Mrs. J. O’Meara, Wellington, is the guest of her mother, Mrs. J. Fleming, Pungarehu, with whom Miss T. O’Meara, Wanganui, is also staying. On Monday evening Mrs. T. N. Watt was hostess at nine tables of flag bridge, in aid of the Plunket candidate. Mrs. Edmonds senr., Mrs. W. Thompson and Miss Molly Thompson, Wellington, were the prizewinners.
On Tuesday afternoon Mrs. Edmonds senr. was hostess at a children’s party at the beach pavilion, in honour of her grandcihldren Jimmy and Margaret Edmonds. Paper caps, balloons and bags of sweets were given each child. Those present were: Jimmy and Margaret Edmonds, Billy Sheat, Don and John Sharp, Molly Morris, Shirley Marcroft, Pam Darrow, Barbara Griffin, Frances, Margaret, Rita and John Hickey and Margaret Laing.
