SUCCESSFUL SPORTS MEETING. EVENTS ALL KEENLY CONTESTED. The Inglewood Athletic Club held a successful sports meeting at Jubilee Park yesterday. Although the meeting was not very well attended by the public good entries were received for practically all the.events, which were keenly contested. Probably the greatest interest was taken in the chopping, which aroused great enthusiasm. In one or two events dead-heats were recorded. Throughout the day children’s events were held, including, running, hurdling and wheelbarrow races. These events greatly help- - ed towards the success of the sports and great interest was taken in the children’s district championships. The Inglewood Municipal Band was in attendance.
