ANTARCTIC WHALE OIL

GERMANY RESTRICTS IMPORTS. PROSPECTS “FAIRLY BRIGHT." By Telegraph—Press Assn.—Copyright. Rec. 10 p.m. London, April 2. ■ Some Antarctic whaling companies have sold the season’s catch on the basis of £l2 a ton, but the bulk of the catch remains to be sold, says the city editor of the Daily Express. There are complications owing to Herr Hitler restricting imports to Germany, which is one of the best markets for whale oil, as it is used -in margarine. It is hoped Herr Hitler will reconsider his decision; otherwise the prospects of the whaling companies are fairly bright as there are no longer accumulated stocks.
