BRITISH GOLF PLAYERS
INVITATION TO AUSTRALIA. London, March 22. Commander Roe, secretary of the Professional Golfers’ Association, states that he has received an. invitation for British professionals to play in the Melbourne centenary open golf competition.! The subject will be discussed by the -committee early in April. It is not likely that any British professional will go to Australia unless some guarantee is received to cover expenses, because the trip would entail a heavy outlay for a three months’ absence.
