STRATFORD COMPETITIONS. The Easter pairs competition held by the Stratford Bowling Club was completed yesterday, the winners being J. S. Lyons (skip) and T. Skoglund (lead). TOUR OF AUCKLAND BOWLERS. VISIT TO TARANAKI IN APRIL. A party of Auckland bowlers will pay a visit to Taranaki this month. The departure from Auckland for the commencement of the tour has been fixed for April 15.
Riviera Tennis. The Riviera tennis season is not a particularly bright one this year (says the News’ London correspondent), although ' the men’s events are better patronised internatiopally than the women’s. At one tournament the gate receipts amounted to the neighbourhood of £BOO, only £2OO was taken this year. Mis Elizabeth . Ryan is still faithful to the Riviera, and with different partners is winning doubles’ events with something to spare as usual. Miss M. A. Thomas, another regular Riviera habitue, is playing very well, and took part in a really first-class mixed double final against Miss Ryan.
