CONFERENCE AT WAIMATE. By Telegraph—Press Association. ; Waimate, March 3L The annual Easter conference of the Federated Catholic Clubs of New Zealand opened this morning with debates which will continue all day. Twelve teams are competing. The teams are from clubs in Masterton, Greymouth, Dunedin (4), Christchurch (3)» Oamaru, Timaru and, Waimate. The visiting delegates, numbering about 70, were welcomed* this afternoon by the parish priest, the Rev. J. Herbert,' and the Mayor, Mr. G. Dash. Tennis and billiards are also being played today. ; ' ■
