HYDRO-ELECTRIC SYSTEMS

WORK ON STRATFORD LINE. COMPLETION THIS MONTH. The electric-power line from Arapuni to Stratford will be completed early this month, and will link Arapuni up with the Mangahao and Waikaremoana stations. A complete circuit of the three principal North Island hydro-electric systems will then be made, and will ensure continuity of supply in the event of any one of them breaking down or running short of water.
