FAMOUS AIRMAN’S BOOTS. : Mr. A. J. Porter, formerly Sergeant Porter of the- 3rd Squadron, Australian Flying Corps, who . left Melbourne by the Orford last week, will take to Germany, a pair of high-topped. boots of regulation German aviation pattern, which he will give to the mother of the famous German airman, Baron von Richthofen. ■ ' . . t , After many victories . against British and French airmen duririg'.the war, Richthofen was’brought down,, and his grave is in France.. The.boots belonged to Richthofen, and Mr. Porter is returning them to the German airman’s mother, whose home, is in' East? Silesia.
