MATIERE SURPRISE PARTY

MR. AND MRS. J. BAKEWELL. A party of about 60 residents of Otangiwai on Saturday paid a surprise visit to the residence of Mr. and Mrs. J. Bakewell, who have recently been married and taken up their abode at Otangiwai. Mr. R. Julian extended a welcome to Mr. and Mrs. Bakewell. - An enjoyable evening was spent witn cards, dancing and games,. and after supper the evening closed with the singing of “For They Are Jolly Good Fellows” and “Auld Lang Syne.” Among those present were Mesdames J. Bakewell, F. Julian, F. Pleasants, J. Luckman, E. Williams, R. Julian, A. McDougall, E. Thomas, Healey, W. Lyon, J. Higgle, . S. Fauchelle, R. Dunn, B. Wildbore, D. Scott E. Bishop, W. Bennett, C. Bennett, Misses N. Christensen and M. Rutherford.
