INSANITY FOUND BY JURY. AUCKLAND WOMAN ACQUITTED. By Telegraph—Press Association. Auckland, Last Night. Mrs. Jane Evelyn Craig, aged 33, was formally tried in the Supreme Court to-day on a charge of murdering her two-months-old baby at Avondale on January 22. After the evidence of mental specialists had been given the jury without leaving the box acquitted her on the ground of insanity, and Mr. Justice Herdman ordered her detention in prison until the pleasure of the Minister of Justice is known.
