SPORT AT INGLEWOOD
TARATA TENNIS TEAM DEFEATED.
The Inglewood B tennis team visited Tarata on Thursday and won a keenly contested game by 15 sets (125 games) to 9 sets (103 games). Scores were-very event, ten sets finishing with the games 6—5. Bowlers Win at TarikL : Two teams from the Inglewood Bowling Club met Tariki at Tariki on Thursday afternoon, and on the final scores were two up. Details are:— I. T. Drake, Dansie, Codd,' McLaggan 21 — Kerr, Rumball, Rumball, Hucker — 21 Peters, Spurdie, Drake, Johnston 22 — Blair, Jemison, Humphries, Loveridge ............. — 20 Totals 43 42 Cycling Contests. All the races at the Inglewood Cycle Club’s evening at Jubilee Park on Thursday were keenly contested and the standard showed that the riders are improving rapidly. Great interest is taken by the public and every meeting there is a large attendance. To amuse the children running events are held, for them and there are always good entries.
