Brilliant Aviatrix.
At a recent display given by the students of the Almaza Flying School, the most striking performance was that of Mlle. Lotfia el Nadi, who gave a wonderful exhibition of perfect flying. She proved most masterly at the controls, looped the loop and did every-
thing possible with the grace and precision of an artist. The spectators, who numbered over 2000, roared themselves hoarse as she went through the various “stunts,” and when she landed she was given a wonderful reception. The staff of Misrr Airwork presented Mlle. Lotfia el Nadi with a gold watch, while Talaat Harb Pasha personally gave ten hours’ free flying and promised her an assured future in the aviation world. A representative of the Egyptian Women’s Progress League presented Mlle. Lotfia with a carved stone bracelet, incorporating words from the Koran, as well as a jewelled pendant. In addition to receiving a great number of bouquets, she was also made a member of the league and presented with the badge.
