In the New Zealand Meat Producers’ Board North Island competition 360 lambs were displayed at Smithfield, Sir James Parr, High Commissioner, and a number of wholesale arid retail dealers inspected the exhibits, which generally were considered to be the finest ever seen at Smithfield. -

The challenge shield was awarded to the Wairarapa district. Individual prizes were wori as follows: Wairarapa, pen No. 28i 1; Manawatu, pen No. 32, 2; Feildihg, pen No. 37, 3.
