RAN AWAY FROM HOSPITAL. YOUNG GIRL’S EXPERIENCE. A nine-year-old girl patient ran away from the Hawera Public Hospital at about 6 pan. on Tuesday and was located on South Road about an hour later. She was seen leaving the hospital gi-ounds but had disappeared before she could be reached. She was then traced to Gladstone Street. To a cyclist on the South Road she told the story of her escapade,' and he notified the authorities. Two doctors, the police, nurses and a number of residents were engaged in a search for her.
