ELLSWORTH AND WILKINS BACK. DUNEDIN PEOPLE THANKED. By Telegraph—Press Association. Dunedin, Jan. 30. Mr. Lincoln Ellsworth and Sir Hubert Wilkins were entertained at a gathering this morning by the Otago Harbour Board, when speeches of sympathy were made by the board. chairman and the Mayor of Dimedin (the Rev. E. T. Cox) that the expedition had not achieved its object. Hope was expressed that if another attempt is made Dunedin will again be the base. Mr. Ellsworth thanked the Dunedin people for their kindness, which was in keeping with that received throughout the Dominion.
