STRONG EAST TO NORTH WINDS. By Telegraph—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. The weather will be fine at first exc -pt for a shower or two in the far north but may become unsettled tomorrow. Rain is developing . in the northern and western districts. The weather will be warm. A very intense anti-cyclone is now centred near the Chatham Islands and a moderate depression is advancing across the Tasman Sea. East to north winds will prevail, being of moderate to strong force generally, reaching gale force in parts of the North Island. Seas will be rather rough to rough north of Akaroa but elsewhere smooth to moderate, rising later in Cook and Foveaux Strait areas.
