STARVING IN OPEN BOAT
DEMENTED BENGALI ESCAPEES. RESCUE 600 MILES FROM RANGOON. By Telegraph—Press Assn. —Copyright. Calcutta, Jan. 25. Six emaciated and half demented Bengalis were picked up by a steamer in the Bay of Bengal 600 miles from Rangoon. It is believed that they escaped from the grim prison on the Andaman Islands and had been in the open boat for six days without food or water.
