KEEN DEMAND AT SYDNEY. By Telegraph—Press Assn.—Copyright. Sydney, Jan. 25. At the wool sales 11,535 bales were offered and 10,138 were sold. A further 1713 bales were sold privately. At today’s closing auctions there was strong general competition with a keen demand by Germany and Japan. Values generally were fully equal to late rates. Greasy Merino made to 301 pence for nine bales from Armidale. The average price of wool for the first' three days this week was £24 16s a bale, or 20.6 pence a lb.
