A party of three girls who left Hawera in a buggy some days ago for a trip o Taumarunui passed through Tangarakau Gorge They were in the best of condition and seemed to be enjoying their journey to the fullest. During the week the Whangamomona County Council’s road grader has been grading Raekohua Road, which for the past fortnight had been unusually rough. Mrs. C. W. Howe, Wanganui, with her

son and daughter is the guest of Mrs. T. Guthrie, Tangarakau Gorge. Mr. and Mrs. C. Drader have returned from a visit to New Plymouth. Messrs. W. Sangster, Stratford, W. Hill, Tuna, and R. Robinson are the guests of Mr. R. McCartie. - Mrs. S. Brereton, Whangamomona, visited Tangarakau on Wednesday. Misses G. and W. Whittleston are spending a short vacation with Mrs. W. Shanks. Mr. J. Fougere passed through Tangarakau en route to Whangamomona on Tuesday. . j t Mr. J. Lynch has returned from Mokau. Misses Joan and Tui Betts are spending a few days with relatives at Midhirst.
