EXHIBITION AT CHRISTCHURCH. NEW PLYMOUTH ARRANGEMENTS. Arrangements in connection with the New Plymouth display at the forthcoming Christchurch townl-plahning exhibition were advanced at a meeting at New Plymouth yesterday afternoon. The exhibition is to .be held from February 16 to February 23 and is being conducted by the Christchurch branch of the New Zealand Institute of Town-planning, in conjunction with the New Zealand Institute of Surveyors, Architects and Civil Engineers. The New Plymouth Harbour Board was prepared to lend a copy of a large plan of the harbour and photos of the wharves, reported the honorary secretary, Mr. M. James. Aerial views of the harbour were also available. The New Plymouth Aero Club would obtain through the Public Works Department a plan of the aerodrome, said Mr. A. F. Sandford. The club could also provide aerial views of the town and of Mount Egmont. Mr. Sandford suggested that an aerial view of Pukekura Park would also be of value. Mr. Sandford’s suggestion was approved. A photograph of Pukekura Park sportsground proposed by Mr. W. C. Weston as an example of engineering was also agreed to. Plans of the sewerage scheme outfall and of the hydro works at Mangamahoe would probably be available from the New Plymouth Borough Council, it was reported. Commercial and domestic building plans would be obtained from New Plymouth architects. The Lands and Survey Department had also promised an exhibit.
