20 COUNTRIES SHOW DECREASES. FIGURES RISE IN NEW ZEALAND. By Telegraph—Press Assn. —Copyright Rec. 6.30 p.m. Geneva, Jan. 5. The International Labour Office reports that 20 countries, including Great Britain, the United States, Australia, Canada, Irish Free State, Germany, Japan and Chile show an encouraging decrease in unemployment in the last quarter of 1933, compared with 1932, while unemployment has increased in Bulgaria, Czecho-Slovakia, New Zealand, Norway, Poland and Palestine.
