PAINTERS’ ASSESSORS AGREE.

One of the few cases in which the Conciliation Council agreed to refer a dispute to the Arbitration Court since the amendment of the Arbitration Act in 1932 was heard to-day before the commissioner, Mr. Ritchie. The New Zealand Federated Master Painters, Decorators and Signwriters’ Association sought a new award. Agreement was reached on some minor clauses but all the assessors agreed to submit the contentions clauses to the court.
