The Kartigi arrived at New Plymouth last evening to discharge 230 tons of general cargo before continuing her passage to Auckland. (U.S.S. Co.). The Hauturu, with 190 tons of cargo, left Onehunga at 11 a.m. yesterday and is due in New Plymouth at 5 o’clock this morning. She will sail for Wanganui in. the late afternoon, and will return to New Plymouth on January 6. (Northern Co.). The Gabriella is due at New Plymouth from Greymouth to-morrow with 300 tons of coal. She will sail the same day for Wellington. (U.S.S. Co.). The Kartigi is to leave Wellington today and is due at New Plymouth via Wanganui to-morrow. (Hooker Bros.). The Totara is to load at Wellington to-day and is due at New Plymouth via Nelson on Saturday. (U.S.S. Co.), The Holmglen is to load at Timaru tomorrow, and is due at New Plymouth, via Lyttelton, Wellington and Wanganui, on December 29. (Hooker Bros.).

MOVEMENTS OF OVERSEAS SHIPS.

HUIA ARRIVES.

The auxiliary schooner Huia, after a passage of several days from Auckland, arrived at New Plymouth yesterday, and berthed at Newton King wharf. The rain prevented discharge of the cargo of explosives, which will be started this morning. The Huia is expected to continue to Wellington about noon to-day. CAMBRIDGE ON MONDAY. Delays at southern ports have resulted in the itinerary of the Federal steamer Cambridge being put back, and she will arrive at New Plymouth on Monday or possibly later. The Cambridge will discharge a quantity of British cargo at New Plymouth, loading while doing so. TAINUI THIS MORNING. It is expected that the Shaw, Savill vessel Tainui, which left Wanganui last evening for New Plymouth, will arrive sufficiently early for a start to be made at 8 this morning. SHIPPING TELEGRAMS.
