RATAPIKO SCHOOL CONCERT

VARIED PROGRAMME PRESENTED.

An enjoyable concert was presented by the pupils of the Ratapiko school. There was a large attendance. The stage was decorated with greenery and red rambler roses. Mr. M. Nolan, chairman of the school committee, thanked the people for attending. Mr. Nolan also referred to the work of the teachers, Mr. FryerRaisher and Mrs. Court, in preparing the children for the concert.

Edmonds; recitation, Joy Eva; recitation, Margaret Hearne; song, senior pupils; song, Kathleen Martin; recitation, Albert Gannawqy; bathing dance, junior girls; farce, “The Obstructive Hat,” Claire Wilson, Calvin Simmon, Margaret Gannaway, Cliff Edmonds, Brian Mannix, Joe Martin, Ray Telfer, Pat Clarke and Bill Corlett; song, Joy Eva and Margaret Shepperd; song, junior pupils; recitation, lan Eva; dance, Margaret Shepperd; song, Vera and Peggy Nolan; recitation, Margaret Telfer and Bill Shepperd; songs, senior pupils; “The Toy Song,” junior pupils; recitation, Kathleen Martin; dance duet, Margaret Shepperd and Joy Eva; recitation, Kitty Mannix; recitation, Harry Willans; action song, senior pupils; recitation, Leslie Telfer; recitation, Clarice Wilson; dance, Margaret Shepperd, Betty Culpit, P. At the conclusion of the concert Mr. Fryer-Raisher thanked the parents who had prepared the costumes for the children, and extended thanks to Mrs. Court and Mrs. James for the great assistance they had given him at the practices. “Cigarette” and “chocolate” bouquets were presented to the teachers.
