CANADA HEADS QUOTA LIST. large QUANTITY FOR BLENDING. By Telegraph—Press Assn.—Copyright Washington, Dec. 14. Mr. Joseph Choate junr., director of the Federal Alcohol Control Administration, announced late to-day that the liquor importers had been given permits to import 5,580,590 gallons of Canadian liquor during the four months quota period. Approximately half the amount would be for blending purposes, Canada being the only source of supply for American favoured bourbon and rye whiskies. Canada thus tops all other countries in the amount it may send into the United States. Italy is next with 1,100,000 gallons.
