The John will load at Timaru to-day and is due at New Plymouth via Lyttelton, Wellington and Wanganui, on December 21. (Hooker Bros.). MOVEMENTS OF OVERSEAS SHIPS. TAINUI ON THURSDAY. The Shaw, Savill vessel Tainui is due at New Plymouth on Thursday to load dairy produce for the British market. She will sail later for Lyttelton and Dunedin. THE CAMBRIDGE. The Federal steamer Cambridge is due at New Plymouth on Saturday to discharge a large consignment from Britain. She will load during discharge and will sail for Napier, Auckland and Wellington. NORTHUMBERLAND ON SUNDAY. On Christmas Eve the Federal steamer Northumberland will arrive at New Plymouth to load a large quantity of dairy produce. She will proceed to Auckland. MAGDALENE VINNEN. No definite word of the barque Magdalene Vinnen, the largest sailing vessel in the world, which is to call at New Plymouth to discharge 1000 tons of guano in January, has been received in New Zealand. The Magdalene Vinnen left Seychelles Islands on October 24, but as she may be working • through Torres Strait to Brisbane before going to Auckland, no anxiety is being felt for her.
