Akuloff, State Prosecutor, is compelling the directors of many enterprises and schools to pay overdue wages. Four timber trusts owe the workmen £2,000,000. The teachers of one district have not been paid since last year. Many directors, owing to the shortage of money, are paying the workmen with factory goods, which they gladly accept, because they arg saleable at a profit.
