FAIR, COOL WEATHER

WINDS FROM SOUTH-EAST. By Telegraph—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. The weather will still be cloudy along the east coast and the far north, with showers or misty rain between Cook Strait and East Cape. Elsewhere conditions will be fair to fine with cool temperatures. A depression is located north-east of the North Island and a rather intense anti-cyclone covers the south Tasman Sea and southern New Zealand. South to south-east winds are probable, fresh to strong north of Farewell Spit and Kaikonra and elsewhere light to moderate. Seas will be rough north of Kaikoura and in the Cook Strait area and elsewhere smooth to moderate.
