PANAMA’S GRIEVANCES
AMERICAN COMPETITION. SERIES OF REQUESTS. Panama, Oct. 2. Dr. Harmodio Arias, President of Panama, is going to Washington to ask President Roosevelt to cease competing with Panama merchants, and to stop sending down American beer, which has an unfair advantage over the local product. Dr. Arias will also ask for a better chance to secure the steamship supply business; also that the United States shall hand over to Panama the AmeriPanama railway.
