WOOL TRADE CONFERENCE
INSISTENCE UPON ARBITRATION.
INCORRECT MARKING OF GOODS.
By Telegraph—Press Assn.—Copyright Budapest, October 5.
The wool conference before it closed passed a motion regarding as unjustified claims stipulating that in the event of unsettled disputes the name of the party refusing arbitration should be black-list-ed and communicated to the adhering countries; also that an arbitration clause should be inserted in contracts.
The conference appointed an international committee to consider the possibility of adopting either the German property or provision for imposing an obligation on a creditor in order to assure that a debtor’s guarantee was honoured. It also appointed a committee to deal with the incorrect marking of goods and the sale conditions of wool, also to send questionnaires to the respective countries seeking views on tariff agreements. Mr. W. P. Devereux (Australia) welcomed an Italian proposal of propaganda to increase wool sales.
