MAORI ASSAULTS MOTHER
SIX MONTHS’ IMPRISONMENT. MOTHER’S PLEA FOR HER SON. By Telegraph—Press Assn. —Copyright Gisborne, Sept. 29. For a brutal assault on his mother a young Native, Tommy Ahuriri, was sentenced at Te Araroa to six months’ imprisonment. The mother attended the court and said that she would sooner die than see her son sent to gaol.
