WAITARA STATE SCHOOL
INCREASE IN THE ROLL. After the term holiday tire Waitara State school reopened yesterday with a total roll of 390, against 373 at the close of the term. Of the 17 new admissions 15 are children who will reach the age of six years during the term, and two are children from other schools. Unless children who will reach six years during the term are admitted to school during the first four weeks of the term they will have to wait until next year before they can 'be admitted. Miss V. Pepper, who was formerly attached to the Waitara school, returns this term as probationary assistant in place of Miss Longbottom, who was attached to the staff last term under the Education Department’s rationing scheme.
