The New Zealander Bayacre when schooling over hurdles at Moorefield _■ over-reached and severely damaged one hoof, which has necessitated a lengthy spell. The New Zealander Golden Hair in a® gallop with Kuvera to-day fully ««- tended the latter over four furlongs, which were covered in 4945. Fairway's trainer, A. Neale, is returning to New Zealand, but Fairway will remain here for the present. Autopay is doing exceptionally well on the tracks and reeled off a brilhant four furlongs to-day in 495, which .was one of the best efforts of the morning. Mr. Colin Stephen, chairman of the Australian Jockey Club, has returned to Sydney after a holiday of several months in England.
